We have a house in Omaha!

Hooray! We put an offer in on a house and it was accepted....so we have a house and will officially not be homeless when we have the baby, haha. Technically, we actually have two houses now. We are both hoping our house in Montana sells quickly! Anyone want to move to Montana? We will make you a deal!

I took the dogs out on a walk yesterday...we did about 3 miles. I wanted to take another easy day after I had a scary experience on Friday. On Friday, I almost passed out in the dental chair. I got really hot and dizzy and sick to my stomach. I took the rest of the afternoon off from work. I hope it was just because the office was warm and the light in my face was hot. It scared me though so I just layed around on Friday and yesterday. I felt fine yesterday and still feel good to day so hopefully it was a one time thing.

My secret is officially out!

I'm an Air Force instructor and had to teach a class today. I haven't taught in about 3-4 weeks because I'm about to move and have been doing out-processing. Anyway, at the first break, 2 women in the class came up to me and asked me if I was expecting! I guess my uniform isn't really hiding things anymore. So, I confirmed the rumors and now everyone knows. I guess it's pretty good that I made it to 21 1/2 weeks!

Workout today (pretty intense): walked 1/2 mile, ran 3 miles, lifted arms and then did a step aeorbics class.

My left calf is really sore. Also, today running did not feel great. I felt fat and awkward and I had to pee almost every mile thanks to the little man sitting on my bladder.

Run down

I didn't feel quite like myself today. I am just not recovering from these workouts like I was used to (before pregnancy). I ended up running for about 20 mins, elliptical for 10 mins and yoga class. I was worn out in yoga class...i seriously couldn't even stand on one leg.

I'm taking tomorrow off. It works out nicely as I'm finishing my very LAST paper for my Masters degree tomorrow night. I'm so glad I'm almost done and will graduate before the little man shows up.

Still movin' in my 6th month!

Ran 5 miles today (2 on treadmill at 6.3 mph, 3 on indoor track). Felt good running-wise although I'm STILL sore from the cardio/sculpt class I did on Saturday.

Also, Eric and I may have finally narrowed down the house hunt to one favorite. Maybe the baby will actually have a room! He is going to look at the house again tomorrow and think about an offer. This is the 2nd time he gets to pick the house and I move in sight unseen (not by choice!). I'm excited to move and join him in a few weeks.

Please, someone, buy our house in Montana. I will be your best friend.

Weekend thoughts

First, yes, my prediction was right. I am so sore I can't move. My rear, arms. shoulders, abs, everything is on fire from yesterday's Cardio/sculpt class. Reference previous post about not recovering as well during pregnancy. I hurt. But, I'm glad I did the class because I haven't been weight lifting very much even though that's super important.

Second, are we ever going to find a house? Eric is in Nebraska looking, I am in Montana worrying. Should we rent or buy? Live on base housing? And our house in Montana is still on the market and we are worried about that. I envision the 2 of us + baby + dog + 2 cats living in an 18 ft camper!! Oh no!

Weekend workouts

Today, I ran about 20 mins on the indoor track and then did a cardio/sculpt class. I think I will definitely be a little sore tomorrow.

On Thursday, I ran 4 miles and did Pilates. Yesterday (Friday) I was so sore from Pilates that I literally couldn't sit up!

I think my belly is really popping out this week. Also, I'm beginning to feel uncomfortable when I run...like my belly is bouncing. I plan to order one of those support bands this week to see if it helps.

We need a name!

Eric and I have been going round and round about a baby name. We had one picked out for a girl....so then of course we are having a boy...haha.

Here's the front runners:
Elliott
Emmett
Everett
Emerson
Quentin

How will we ever decide?

Yesterday's workout: ran 4 miles and then went to yoga class. Why is yoga harder than running? That doesn't even make sense! I think I may be getting better at it though.

It's a Boy!

We had our ulstrasound 2 days ago and there is a little Boy in there. He looks great and very healthy. He is slightly ahead on growth which could put our due date into June instead of July.

Now Eric and I just have to figure out a name. I'm still in shock about the litte one being a boy.

Happy Valentines day! I made Eric go to the gym with me tonight to celebrate...haha, kidding...kind of.

I ran 3 miles on the indoor track and felt AWESOME. I've taken a few days off to help pack up the house....whenever I take time off I forget how good I feel when I run. I hope I can continue it for a while.

Ouch!

2 big things I have noticed about pregnancy workouts:

1) "Recovery" is basically non-existent. I am STILL sore from stupid Jillian Michael's workout on Sunday. That was 4 days ago!!! Usually, after a difficult workout, I am good to go in about 36 hours. Not so much during pregnancy.

2) Chafing!!!! WTF? Is it my fat little thighs starting to rub together? I am in so much pain after running...not to mention I have no more skin on my inner thighs. It's time to order the maternity workout clothes.

Workout: 5 miles total (1 mile walking, 4 miles running at 6.2 mph). I feel chubby.

Jillian Michaels kicked my butt

I was feeling especially lazy yesterday (and we are in the middle of packing our house up for the move) so I decided not to go to the gym. Instead, I thought to myself, I would just choose a little On-Demand workout from our cable company. I figured it would be a 'light' day.

40 mins later with Jillian Michaels (from the Largest Loser), I was dying!!! It was a lot of kick boxing, plyos and core work. I actually only had to modify 2 or 3 exercises. I was surprised how intense of a workout I got in my own living room.

Also, today my calves on on fire!!! I don't know if that's from the video or just from jumping around with an extra 10 lbs! haha.

Why is yoga harder than running?

I really can't even take yoga seriously as a workout...I just feel like it's a lot of rolling around with my eyes closed on a mat (except for the P90X yoga...that stuff is insane) But, that said, yoga is kinda hard for me. I think the whole concept of being still and balancing is beyond me. I'm hoping the yoga will bring me a little mental focus...we'll see.

Workout: Ran 2 miles on indoor track and did 1 hour yoga class (regular class as we don't have prenatal classes here).

Great appointment today!

We got to hear the baby's heartbeat today at our regular checkup. The doctor said he/she was moving a lot. I have been getting kicked pretty good and regularly so I'm not suprised the doctor confirmed he/she was active. Also, the doctor told us our quad screen results came back and everything looks great. It was a big relief. We have the "big ultrasound" next week and will do the full anatomy scan....and find out the gender.

I feel like once I can get past 20 weeks and the ultrasound, I can really relax and enjoy the pregnancy. I have definitely been living on pins and needles and not wanting to get too attached. I hope I can get over that once I see that everything is fine next week.

I have gained 8 lbs by my scale.

Workout today: 5 miles today (walked 1 mile, ran 4 miles). I felt really good even though I took a few days off because I was a little sick.
